Grand Canyon (with full moon), Horseshoe Bend, Upper Antelope Canyon, and Sedona, Arizona
6th Annual Northern Arizona Workshop
March 14-18, 2014
Join me, and co-instructor Gary Hart on our fifth annual photographic workshop through some of the most beautiful terrain the desert southwest has to offer. We will start this unforgetable workshop exploring and photographing one of the 7 natural wonders of the world: the Grand Canyon! We will spend 2 1/2 days exploring this incredible American icon from varied locations along the southwest and southeast rim. Each location will provide a unique view of this amazing canyon. This year's workshop has been timed to the full moon to allow students to photograph a moonrise on two consecutive evenings and well as a session of night photography!
We will then caravan to Page, Arizona where we will visit the world-renowned Upper Antelope Canyon, perhaps the most famous slot canyon in the world where our visit will be timed to capture the incredible radiant light beams. We will also photograph a sunset and a full moonset at famed Horseshoe Bend where we will spend some time shooting along the rim of this spectacular setting where the Colorado River bends 270 degrees around Navajo sandstone in the Glen Canyon Recreation Area.
Lastly it will be off to the red rock mecca of Sedona. We will finish this exhilirating day with a sunset shoot at Redrock Crossing in Oak Creek Canyon and another sunrise from one of the most iconic locations in all of Sedona where we should find spring desert bloom near peak condition!
